Becoming a Mentee
Welcome to Mentor Her, the programme that connects women who need help with women who want to give it.
Wherever you are in your career, you might need a little boost, a bit of advice or someone to ask questions to, so that you can become successful as quickly as possible.
Mentors are people who share your ambition, and are further down the line of getting where they want to be. If you're ambitious, determined and looking for inspiration, Mentor Her is the platform for you.
There is no formal training with this programme, we connect you with your Mentor and then send you information every week to help you get the most out of your partnership. Your Mentor will let you know whether they prefer to mentor in person, over the phone or with Zoom, or all three.
Mentoring begins on the 12th of April and ends 6 weeks later.
Our team of experts helps you connect with Mentors who match your needs the most and act as an intermediary to provide information and support.
The 3 Categories for Mentor Her
We're connecting Mentors and Mentees in freelancing.
This can include:
Journalism (blogging, newspapers & media)
We're connecting Mentors with Mentees who are in employment and who are seeking to elevate their career by growing and learning more in their current position or moving up the corporate ladder to roles in management and leadership.
We also have a new category to help support women who are seeking to pursue a career and raise a family at the same time. We will connect these women with like-minded Mentors who have already been on this journey themselves.
Running a Business
We're connecting Mentors with Mentees who are or would like to be running their own business. This category is divided into two groups:
Those who are just starting their new business journey
Those who have already established a business and are turning more than €40k in one year.
Who we're looking for
If you are trying to come up in the world and need a bit of help, you'll be a perfect Mentee. To be a Mentee you must be tick three boxes:
Know your career goals
Be driven to achieve them
Be responsible and professional
Mentees can be any age, in any discipline. Whether you're still studying for your degree, a recent college graduate, a woman returning to the workforce or already on your career journey. Everyone needs a bit of help at some stage.
Mentees should be good at time-keeping, at asking questions and taking advice.
